The Crusaders and the Maroons both came out strong and played a competitive first quarter as the score was tied 7-7. In the second quarter the Crusaders were able to build a lead behind their solid defense and took a 14-11 lead into halftime. The Maroons played strong defense in the third quarter and held Unity Christian to only 2 points in the third quarter. The Crusaders responded with a strong fourth quarter and were able to outscore Holland Christian 18-9 to win 34-31.
