The second shutout of the day was delivered by Austin Schuiteman and was again helped by a strong team effort on defensive and a relatively epic barehanded play by Jared Haverdink at shortstop that was completed with and impressive backhand pick by first baseman, Kurtis Montsma. The mercy rule ended this game a little early, which made some of the faithful openly grateful...it was cold.
