The Crusaders captured the District title with a hard fought win over Covenant Christian.Both teams battled to a 0-0 halftime score. Unity got on the board first about midway through the second half and looked to be poised to snag the victory, but a Covenant Free Kick from near midfield caromed off 2 heads and into the Crusader goal with just over 2 minutes left in regulation. After battling another 20 minutes of overtime the teams had to go to the penalty spot to decide it. Both teams went 4-5 so now onto sudden death. Unity secured the win on the 8th kick 6-5 (2-1) and move on to Regional action next Tuesday night @ GR Catholic Central against South Christian with a 7:00 Kick Off.
