Unity Christian Crusaders Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Allendale on Thursday. Allendale took the lead on a single in the second inning. Allendale opened up scoring in the second inning. Scholma drove in one when Scholma singled. One bright spot for Unity Christian Crusaders Varsity was a single by Jared Devries in the fourth inning. Sparks was the winning pitcher for Allendale. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Ben Hoekstra took the loss for Unity Christian Crusaders Varsity. The righthander went four innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one. Ethan Dejong and Devries each managed one hit to lead Unity Christian Crusaders Varsity. Allendale totaled eight hits. Scholma and Nason all managed multiple hits for Allendale.
