Bush's Walk-Off Gives Unity Christian Crusaders Varsity Victory over Coopersville
The Crusaders Varsity took their game in dramatic walk off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Coopersville. The game was tied at one with Unity batting in the bottom of the nineth when Micah Bush singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides as Unity pitchers struck out ten, while coopersville sat down five.
Brayden Flanders led things off on the mound for the Crusaders, pitching eight and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits and ten strikeouts.
Unity tallied 13 hits on the day thanks to Sam Beckham, Ayden Deboode and Kyler Hinken each with multiple hits. Deboode and Beckham collected three each.
