Unity Christian Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to a 9-2 victory over Caledonia on Saturday. The Crusaders scored on a singled by Jared VanderZwaag and Ethan Hart in the second inning.
Unity put up four runs in the sixth inning, thanks to a single by Kyler Hinken. Hinken also led things off on the mound for the Crusaders Varsity. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and two runs striking out four and walking one.
Hinken went 2-3 at the plate to lead the Crusaders Varsity in hits.
