Crusaders Falls To Allendale In Low-Scoring Affair
Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound on Tuesday, but Allendale was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Crusaders on Tuesday. Dan Hoeksema started the game for Crusaders and recorded 21 outs.
Crusaders lost despite out-hitting Allendale five to four.
One bright spot for Crusaders was a single by Ryan Takens in the second inning.
Stephens was on the hill for Allendale. He lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.
Hoeksema was on the mound for Crusaders. He went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out ten and walking zero.
Zack Deemter led Crusaders with two hits in three at bats.
Allendale was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Roby made the most plays with eight.
