Unity took on the Holland Dutch for our final conference match. The Crusaders finished undefeated in conference play with a 3-set win, 25-7, 25-11, 25-11.
The Crusaders hosted the Chix of Zeeland East for Senior Night and for our last home conference match. Unity clinched the conference title with a 3-set win, 25-16, 25-13, 25-22.
Unity hosted Zeeland West for a conference match tonight. The Crusaders earned the win in 3 sets, 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.
The Crusaders participated in the Forest Hills Eastern quad tonight. We won our first match against Ludington 25-10, 25-16. Our second match was against a strong FHE team. We lost set one 20-25 but regrouped and took the next two sets, 29-27, 15-11. We won our final match of the night against Thornapple-Kellogg in two sets, 25-15, 25-16. Another great night of volleyball!
After a disappointing loss against Holland Christian on Saturday, the Crusaders traveled to Holland Christian for a conference match. Unity had a slow start and lost set 1, 22-25. The girls fought back and took a win by winning the next three sets, 25-22, 25-17, 25-17. Awesome team win!
Unity participated in the Jenison Invite on Saturday. The Crusaders finished 1-1-1 in pool play with a tie against Portage Northern, a loss to Jenison and a win over Belding. Because of points, this put us into the silver bracket. Unity came in second with a win against Covenant Christian and a disappointing loss to our rivals Holland Christian. We will meet them again Tuesday for our second conference meeting.
Unity hosted Spring Lake for a conference match. Unity took the win with a 3 set match, 25-16, 25-13, 25-6.

The Crusaders played in the Hudsonville Invite and started the morning playing Hudsonville in an exciting 5-set match. Unity came up just short losing 18-25, 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 9-15. Unity finished the day defeating Forest Hills Central 25-22, 25-27, 15-13 and losing a close match to Portage Northern 23-25, 26-28.
Unity played a great day of volleyball at the Portage Northern Invite. Unity went undefeated in pool play with wins against Three Rivers, Bronson, and Paw Paw, sending them to the gold bracket. The Crusaders won their first match in bracket play against Buchanan, 25-17, 25-18. In the semi-finals, Unity played the #3 team in Division 2, Harper Creek. The Crusaders played incredible but came up just short, 29-31, 22-25.
Unity hosted the Hamilton Hawkeyes for an exciting conference match. The Crusaders took the first two sets 25-16, 25-22. They fell behind in the third set, almost came from behind for the win but came up short 23-25. The team came back strong and won set four 25-16 to seal the win.
The Crusaders defeated the Maroons of Holland Christian in an exciting 4 set match, 25-19, 27-25, 22-25, 25-20, to get their second conference win.
The Crusaders traveled to Spring Lake for our first conference match of the season. The first three sets were close (25-23, 21-25, 25-23), but Unity came back strong in the fourth set to seal the win (25-10)!
The Crusaders took 2nd place at the Unity Invite with a record of 1-1-3. We tied with Otsego 25-8, 22-25, lost to Jenison 21-25, 23-25, defeated Kalamazoo Christian 25-12, 25-12, tied West Catholic 25-20, 23-25 and ended the night with a tie against East Grand Rapids 25-15, 24-26. Overall a competitive night of volleyball!
Unity varsity volleyball started out the season strong at the West Ottawa quad. The Crusaders defeated GR Catholic Central in two sets, 25-22, 25-21. They lost a heart breaker to West Ottawa in 3 sets, 25-21, 19-25, 12-15, after being down 7-13 in the third set and fighting back to within one point before losing. Unity ended the night defeating Grandville in 2 sets, 25-17, 25-16. The girls are off to a great start!
