In the last regular season home game, the Varsity girls made enough free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off the Zeeland East Chix and win 33 to 29.

The Varsity Girls played a rescheduled game from January tonight and came up a little short in the 4th quarter. After going down by 10, we battled back, had a chance to tie it at the end, but ended up losing 40 to 42. The girls take on West Catholic at home tomorrow.

Crusaders Win: 53 - 48
After being down 9 at one point in the fourth quarter, the Girls Varsity battled back to tie it up with a late game 3 to go into overtime. Then, after going down early by 4, they battled back again to win 53 to 48. It was a well played game by both teams. Next up is the Holland Dutch at home on Friday night.

Varsity girls team got down early in the 1st quarter to Allendale, then battled back and played a close game the rest of the way - only to come up short at the end 33 to 37.

Coming out of a long break, the girls varsity started the second round of conference play with a tough loss to Byron Center. Most of the fourth quarter was within one point, but Byron hit 10/10 from the line in the 4th quarter to pull away. The final score: UC 36, Byron Center 46.

After a snow day, the Girls Varsity team took on a very good Hamilton opponent and lost 24 to 55. Next game is home against non-conference Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Jan. 29.

The Girls Varsity team came away with a hard fought win at Holland High School, 37 - 28. Solid defense kept us in the game, and we made some clutch baskets and free throws late in the fourth quarter to pull away at the end. Next game is at Zeeland East next week Friday, Jan. 18.

In a great atmosphere on a Friday night where South Christian was hosting its first varsity basketball games in their new facility, the Unity girls lost a tough one. After tying it in the fourth quarter, not enough shots would fall in the last few minutes and South hit enough free throws at the end to win 36 - 30. Game action resumes on Jan. 4 against Byron Center.

The Varsity Girls basketball team got their second win of the season against Calvin Christian 37 to 32. It was very close the entire game, and we came back from a small deficit with a strong inside basket and some clutch free throw shooting in the last 2 minutes of the game.
