Crusaders Win: 7 - 2
Way to finish the season strong...with the "W!" Nice job guys...a commanding 7 wins and 2 losses. And a couple tie breaker's too! Thanks to all the boys for their ahaamaazzing tennis skills, which visibly improved throughout the season. Thanks to the parents for snacks and support all season. In fact, many thanks to Darby's for hot dogs and grill, court side, for everyone! And for those who also contributed to our food today. Kudo's. Nice way to finish.
Be student warriors and study hard in school boys, and be faith warriors in prayer. And remember my words, "if you can't find a nice person, BE one!!!"

Crusaders Win: 5 - 4
Close match today.....and I wasn't sure how to score it!!! We were at 4 wins, and they asked a player to play a 4 game set at singles.....which we lost....but it was only 4 games! Then our last match on was close, but finished with a loss....so that's how I arrived at 5 wins and 4 losses. But, if you don't count the only 4 game match, then we are at a tie with NP Chr. That is my, dilemma, do you score those 4 games as a match?! Or expedition?!
Season is winding down. Beautiful weather today...and basically most of the season. Hard to take, huh?!
Nice job boys, last matches are tomorrow. Game on. Game face. Winning attitude. TEAM WORK! Bring it.

Crusaders Lose: 4 - 6
We got our matches in today, despite a little drizzle....it was very light, so courts were ok. We had several tie breakers, and some very close matches today. Nice job guys. A couple matches could have went either way.
Came down to a few points....which will make us tougher, focus, and give us our fighting spirit. We still have more matches to play this season. I saw many of you run down balls like there is no tomorrow...Caleb, Jack, Brendon, Jacob, Simion, Nathan, just to name a few. But ALL of you did great. And I hear the boys that stayed at home and played Comstock Park, WON! Congrat's!
PS. No double faults....take your time....serving....!

Summer weather continues for us...yeah! Perfect tennis weather. A commanding 9-1 win over Coopersville today. You guys all rocked it outta the park! I saw so many good points, team work....racquet clicks, good on court vibes,and just positive attitudes. Chafer spoke of on court attitude in his devotion today. And we also prayed for the Las Vegas tragedy. We.....have sooo many things to be thankful for, here in our West Michigan.
NIce job. Get ready to rock again, tomorrow at Northview!

Crusaders Lose: 3 - 6
Holland came with only 8 players, so we mixed up and played 8-game pro sets, so all 17 UC boys could play.
The guys loved the cooler weather today too.
Good sportsmanship, good team work, talking, I saw racquet high 5's. Nice job. Some close matches despite the team loss. Congrat's to the winners, and future winners!

Another day of heat and humidity on the tennis courts! Good job to the winners, and to the future winners!
We had some close matches and tough tie breaker losses today.
We did have a lot of cheerleaders, and support from visitors, and I was very proud of all our boys for cheering on the last match. It helped them get thru their first 2nd set tie breaker, and helped cheer them on in the next one they had to play! Thanks for the team spirit today!

Another summer like day in the 80's on the courts.....but we will take it! Nice team work, and team win against Hamilton today. Some long, close tie breakers today too. Saw the party at the net, which was fun!

Some great come from behind wins, some close matches, and a nice job today from all the boys! After ZE beat us Saturday at the invitational, it was nice to turn the tables and beat them today. Focus = key!

Great first team win of the season! Way to go guys! Nice job with the tie breakers. Fun to watch. Almost a tie 4-4. Then our last team on, won their tie breaker, for a nice 5-3 team win! Thanks for staying around to cheer them on. A West Catholic mom stopped me and told me how nice it was that you all were cheering on the last team, when all their boys had left. Kudos.

Crazy start to our season! I coached the varsity tournament all day, Coach Brink took the JV team, away to NP Chr. And they only had 5 players....so sorry, we did not know! But Coach B made it all work so everyone got to play a little!
Nice job for first time match this season. Thanks to all the parents who were able to come out and also to the Parent Meeting. Looking forward to meeting everyone, and for a fun tennis season!
