Unity took on South Christian at Hudsonville Lanes. After 2 good baker games and leading 10-0, the boys didn't throw very good games, but they still took all but 5 points in the regular games.

In an attemt to avange an early season loss, the boys threw some good scores against Wayland. Unfortunately they fell short losing 18-12.
On the brighter side, Isaac Dykstra shot 213 and Cullen Tinklenberg increased his personal and season best to 234.
Unity boys squeaked out the win versus Union by a score of 16-14. Lucas Van Maanen shot 190 and 196 on the day.
The boys went to Northway Lanes to compete in the Reeths Puffer Rocket Invitational. after 3 regular games and 4 baker games the boys threw their best regular game of the season at 954 qualified them 5th. That put them up against #4 Zeeland. They ended up losing in the first round by 65 pins to the eventual tournament champ. Tough break, but good to know they qualified 5th behind 4 Division 1 school. Another possible trip to state may be in their future.
Lucas VanMaanen finished in 10th place overall ith games of 222, 168, & 201.

Unity went into Spectrum Lanes to take on Wyoming after a snow day. The boys spilt the bakers, but took total to go up 6-4. The first regular game saw Owen Eppinga and Lucas Van Maanen shoot 177. They took 3 individual points and total pins to increase their lead to 13-6. The second game saw Logan Spoolstra shoot 182, Lucas Van Maanen shoot 171 and Isaac Dykstra shoot a season best 245. This gave the guys all of the last gae points and overall total to give them a 24-6 win.
In the Zeeland Baker tournament facing 15 other team, the boys qualified 7th. They only had 3 games under their season average. They also had 2 games of 186 and 1 game of 193. Overall their day was above average and they moved on to face last year's conference rival Coopersville. They ended up losng the 2 baker set to Coopersville by 20 pins ending their day.
The boys went on the road to play Northview, the undefeated conference leaders. Despite throwing their best baker games in the last 4 matches, they were still no match for Nortview. Trailing 10-0 going into the regular games, the boys needed everybody to step up. They did get lot of help. Cullen Tinklenberg shot his personl best. Isaac Dykstra shot 214 and Lucas Van Maanen shot 180. Even with those scores the boys only took 2 point. They missed out on total by 2 pins, proving that every pin counts. This put the match out of reach with Northview leading 17-2. But the boys were not done yet. In the 2nd game, CullenTinklenberg topped his personal best with a fine 180 game. Isaac Dykstra followed up his great 1st game with a 211 game. Despite those scores we onl manged 1 more point to go down in defeat to Northview with a final score of 27-3.
West Catholic came to Hudsonville and gave the boys the business. The boys continued their trend of underaverage baker games and came out behind 10-0. They then gave up 8 of 9 point to go down 18-1. They did manage to take 2 more points in the 2nd game, but ended up on the losing end going down in defeat 27-3
Isaac Dykstra was the lone bright spot shooting 180 and 235.
In another conference match up versus Thornapple Kellogg the boys continued to struggle in their baker games, but still came out with the lead 6-4. The 1st regular game saw he boys take 8 of 9 points to lead 14-5. The 2nd game saw them take another 8 plus 2 for total giving them the 24-6 victory.

In their conference match up with South Christian, the boys threw 2 of their lowest 6 baker games of the season. Thankfully they still cam out ahead 6-4. In the first regular game, the bys were led by senior Lucas Van Maanen who threw a 20 even to give the boys total and 4-/2 points to lead 14-1/2 to 4-1/2. The 2nd game game was not as good, but the boys still took 2-1/2 plus 2 more for overall total to win 19-11.
Boys hosted Grand Rapids Union. After a 99 baker game, they bounced back and won the second baker. Down 6-4 going into the regular games, the boys took 7 of 9 and 8 of 9 in the regulars games to take the wion 21-9.

Boys hosted last year's Division state champs in Grandville. The match went as we thought it might. Grandville swept the bakers to put us down 10-0. Grandville then took all but 1 point in the regualr games to take home the win 29-1.

Boys went into the Jenison Invitational looking forward to a good day. Unfortunately they struggled early in the regular games. Lucas Van Maanen was the lone bright spot in the 2nd game s scoring a 186. Their baker games were better including a 193. But they were not strong enough to get into the top 5 to move on. The boys finished 10th in qualifying.
Boys face Wyoming in their 2nd conference action of the season. They swept the baker games to lead 10-0. They continued to roll into the regular games. They took 7-1/2 of the 9 possible points to secure their first win of the season. The second regular game was more of the same. The boys took 8 of 9 including games of 191 by Logan Spoolstra and Lucas Van Maanen. Isaac Dykstra added a 174 games in the win. Unity took 27-1/2 points total to win 27-1/2 to 2-1/2 over Wyoming
New year, new conference. The boys go against their first opponent in the OK Gold, Wayland. The boys struggled on the dry lanes at Wayland Rock -n- Bowl. Logan Spoolstra managed to squeak out a point in the regular games, but that was all there was to write about.

In their first regular season match versus long time rival Zeeland the boys had a hard time getting going. Their first baker game was not good. But, they rebounded with a much better 2nd baker game. Trailing 6-4 after the bakers, the took 3 head to head points and total by 9 pins in the first game to move to a lead of 11-8. Unfortunately, Zeeland did not give up another point and the boys fell to Zeeland 11-19
