Crusaders Lose: 1 - 2
The Crusaders traveled to Zeeland to face the Chix and came up short with Zeeland winning 2-1. After a scoreless first half Unity struck first when Brevin DeBoer knocked in a lose ball in front of the net. Just 5 minutes later the Chix leveled the score. After several Crusader near misses the Chix scored the game winner with 4 minutes left in the game.

The Crusaders scored 1 goal in each half and held the Maroons scoreless in a big OK Green contest on a cool windy Saturday morning. The 2-0 win puts the Crusaders at 9-1-1 and one half game in front of Holland High with one more week remaining.

An early goal by Hunter VanderVeen got the Crusaders off to a good start, but that was all the first half scoring, The start of the second half found the Crusaders much more creative and sharp in the offensive attack and exploded for 4 goals in the first 14 minutes including 2 goals from Ben Boers. Final score UC 5 and BC 0.

The Varsity soccer team hosted the Pioneers from East GR on a cool breezy afternoon. The Pioneers struck early, but the Crusaders fought back with 3 first half goals to take control of the game. Unity added an insurance goal in the 2nd half to come away with a well played 4-1 win. The energy, effort, and teamwork was tremendous in this all around team win.

Crusaders Lose: 2 - 3
The Crusaders lost a tough one 3-2 in OT vs Holland Christian. HC had a one goal lead at halftime. Unity tied it up early in the second half only to have the Maroons retake the lead off a free kick rebound. Again Unity rallied to tie it up 2-2. HC scored with about a minute to go in the first overtime and held UC scoreless in the second OT to secure the win.

On a beautiful summer evening the Crusaders battled the Sailors of Mona Shores in a tight first half that found the Crusaders clinging to a 2-1 halftime lead. 2 goals in the first 4 minutes of the second half turned things heavily in the Crusaders favor and they cruised to a nice 6-2 win.

The host Eagles came away with a hard fought 2-0 win. Hudsonville scored late in the first half off a free kick that bounced around in the box before being poked into the goal and added a PK goal late in the second half to secure the win.

Crusaders Win: 4 - 0
The boys varsity soccer team began the new season by winning the Crusader Cup. In the opening round the Crusaders defeated West Ottawa 4-1 while Spring Lake defeated West Michigan Christian 2-1. In the Winners bracket Unity defeated Spring Lake 4-0 to claim the title while West Ottawa defeated WMC 2-0 to claim 3rd place.
