UC went undefeated in both pool play as well as tournament play.
During pool play, the JV team beat Grand Haven 25-17 and 25-19; Black River 25-11 and 25-12; Sparta 25-16 and 25-10.
As a result, they received the #1 seed heading into tournament play. Due to the #1 seed, UC had a bye the first round of tournament play.
Our first opponent was Grand Haven, UC won the first set 25-20. The 2nd set was a hard fought contest, but the Crusaders lost 25-22. The 3rd set was a back and forth battle, but Unity's excellent serving propelled them to victory: 16-14.
In the finals Unity faced the #2 seed, Jenison. Jenison came out hot, but the JV's phenomenal passing and intense defensive propelled Unity to victory. They defeated Jenison 25-22 and 25-19.
