Unity started the day at the Allendale Invitational in Pool D. against Thornapple Kellogg. They lost the first set 24-26 and won the second set 25-21 which would give them the win in points. Next, they took on Allegan and beat them in both sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-14. The third team in the pool that Unity faced was Forest Hills Eastern. Both teams came out fired up and ready to play. The team ultimately took both sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-21 which placed them 1st in the pool and set them against Zeeland West for the first round of bracket play. Zeeland West, an opponent the team had seen a few times prior, put up a fight and fought to keep their early lead. Unity ended up losing in 2 sets with scores of 18-25 and 16-25
