In the 2nd game of the tournament the Crusaders took on the hosts, the Otsego Bulldogs.
Meinzer (3 for 4) started out the scoring in this game driving in the only run in the first inning, giving the Crusaders the early lead. They were able to build on that lead in the top of the 3rd with 3 more runs, adding 4 in the 4th and 5 in the 5th. Kendra Bennink scored twice in the offensive affair.
Emily Leegwater earned the win for UC. She tossed 5 innings, allowing one run, four hits, striking out eight without walking a batter.
The Crusaders move on to the Championship to face South Haven.
