ZEELAND WEST HIGH SCHOOL: 22
Unity Christian had a solid first half defensive effort and led 20-8 at the break. Aliyah Brinks and Jacquelin Veldink both played very intense defense. In the second half, both teams scored a few more points as Unity came away with a 48-22 victory. The Crusaders were led by Taryn Hinken with 10 points while Madi Saagman had 9. Grace VanderHill and Madeline Oosterhouse each chipped in with 8. The Crusaders will begin the second half of league play next week Thursday.
