Girls went into the Jenison Invitational with no expectations.  They only wanted to bowl well. That is what they did.  The girls were in 3rd place after the first regular game.  Jaydan Blouw shot 180 in that game.  They remained in 3rd after the 2nd regular game.  Jaydan Blouw shot 194 in that game to finish 2nd overall for the girls in the tournament..  Sarah Cremer came in and shot 170 in that game as well. After the 1st set of 3 baker games the girls were still in 3rd place but they did shoot a 191 game and gained 37 on 1st place.  After the last set of 3 bakers the girls managed to push into 2nd place by 2 pins.  They out shot 1st place by 78 pins and 2nd place by 110 pins to make that move.  The 2nd set included a 178 baker.  The girls then had to watch as Wayland fell to Greenville and then Caledonia fell to Greenville.  Unity stepped up and took it to Greenville in their step ladder by taking a 67 pin lead after the 1st baker with a 174 and the winning the 2nd baker to move on to face #1 Cedar Springs.  After the 1st baker versus Cedar Unity led by 19 after shooting  163.  The eventually lost to Cedar by 10 pins after shooting their lowest baker of the day, 123.  Still a great day coming in as runners up to the champs Cedar Springs.
