In a battle for the top spot in the conference, Unity squared off against Byron Center. The girls jumped out to a 6-4 lead after the baker games that included a 180 game. They took 7 points in the first regular game behind Jenna Levering's 201,Aliyah Stanton's 182 and Sydney Jeurink's 180. This gave them a 13-6 lead after the first regular game with a 113 pin lead for total. Their second game was not as good, but it was good enough to take another 7 points plus 2 for the total as Sydney topped all scorers in the second game with a 170. This gave the girls a 22-8 victory and sole possession of first place in the conference with an identical record as Byron Center of 10-1-1. They lead by virtue of the victory over Byron Center as they tied in the first meeting. Way to go Lady Saders.
