The Unity varsity volleyball team got off to a great start this season. The team traveled to Indiana for the Illiana Christian Quad. Our first game was against Heritage Christian which we won in two sets 25-14, 25-17. Our next match we came up against a strong Illiana Christian team that we took to 3 sets but ended up losing 21-25, 25-12, 10-15. Crete Monee was our next opponent and Unity won in 2 sets 25-13, 25-8. We finished the day in the Championship match where we again met up with Illiana for a redemption match. Illiana jumped to a 10-18 lead but after some gusty play, Unity took the lead and won an exciting first set 25-23. Unity went on to win the second match 25-18 to seal the win and finish the day in 1st place. Well done ladies!
