Another good day of volleyball for the team as we traveled to East Kentwood to take on three talented teams from the area. We had a slow start in our first match against West Catholic losing the first set 10-25, but the girls regrouped, fought hard and came back to take the next two sets 25-22 and 25-9. Our second match of the day was against the reigning state champs of Grand Rapids Christian. The girls played hard but ended losing in two sets 12-25 and 7-25. Unity had to refocus and get ready for their final match of the day against city rivals Hudsonville in our own Salad Bowl Classic. The girls came out strong and finished the day defeating the Eagles in two sets 25-21 and 25-20. The girls showed incredible grit and determination...great team win!
