Unity Christian traveled to Reeths Puffer on Wednesday to take on the 31-3-1 Rockets. Unity was able to prevail behind strong pitching and defense by a score of 1-0. Makenzie Cammenga recorded the win in going all 7 innings and striking out 13 batters and only giving up 2 hits. Makenzie also had the lone RBI on the night as she was able to score Paige Rylaarsdam from 3rd base on a suicide squeeze play in the 4th inning. The defense took over from there by getting out of jams in the 6th & 7th inning to preserve the victory. Unity will next be in action on Saturday as we start District play against South Christian at 11:30am at Kelloggsville.
