On Saturday, Unity Christian Varsity Softball hosted Zeeland West & Caledonia in the Unity Invite. Unity Christian came out on top in both contest, winning by scores of 4-1 vs Zeeland West & 9-3 vs Caledonia. Makenzie Cammenga was credited with the wins in both games, and in the process, surpassed the 500 Varsity strikeout's in her career at Unity. Offense was led by Paige Rylaarsdam, hitting .833 on the day. But Unity also received timely hitting from Eva Latimer hitting .500 on the day, as well as Bella Duimstra & Cammenga, both hitting .429 on the day. Unity Christian Varsity Softball will be back in action at home on Monday to finish out the Conference season vs Holland Christian.
