On Wednesday, Unity Christian Varsity Softball hosted Covenant Christian in a non league Double Header. Unity Christian prevailed in both games 8-1 in game 1 and 13-3 (5 innings) in game 2. Makenzie Cammenga went the distance in game 1 collecting her 21st win on the year and striking out 15 Covenant batters. In Game 2 Madeline Dykhouse got the win giving up only 1 earned run. Offensive was led by Paige Rylaarsdam & Autumn Meinzer with 4 hits each on the night. Bella Duimstra & Makenzie had 3 hits each and Molly Versluis tallied 2 hits on the night. Autumn also led the team in RBI with 4, but followed closely by the trio of Paige, Makenzie & Molly with 3 each. Unity will next be in action on Saturday as we host the Unity Christian Invite. Game times will be 10:00am & 2:00pm.
