On Thursday night, Unity Christian Varsity Softball traveled to South Christian. Unity battled the Sailor's and the rain drops and came out victorious 11-1. Makenzie Cammenga got the Win in the circle (her 16th on the season) and Madeline Dykhouse came on in relief to pitch 4 strong innings, striking out two and not giving up an earned run. Unity collected 15 hits on the night, led by Bella Duimstra & Makenzie with 4 each. Bella had two doubles and Makenzie collected her 1st HR on the season. Unity will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Hamilton in a league DH.
