On Tuesday, Unity Christian Varsity Softball hosted the Falcons of West Catholic in a league doubleheader. Unity prevailed in both contest by scores of 9-3 in game 1 and 22-2 (4 innings) in game 2. Makenzie Cammenga got the wins in both games, allowing only 5 hits and no runs in both contests. Madeline Dykhouse entered both contests in relief, pitching 1 inning in the 1st game and 2 innings in the 2nd game. Unity bats were hot in both contests as we tallied 31 runs on the evening. Hitting was led by a trio of players with 4 hits each in Molly Versluis, Brooklyn Overweg, & Paige Rylaarsdam. Sydney Overweg also hit her 2nd HR on the season! Unity Christian Varsity Softball will next be in action on Thursday at Zeeland West.
