UC Varsity Softball took on West Catholic on Tuesday afternoon in conference doubleheader, winning both in rule run fashion, 13-2 & 13-3.  UC Softball upped its record to 19-5 on the season.  In game 1, Kaylee VanderVeen was credited with the win, only allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and recording 5 strikeouts.  Unity bats were strong as they compiled 13 hits led by Ashley Veldheer with 3 and Natalie Bush, Kaylee VanderVeen, & Lauren Hermance with 2 hits apiece.  Kaylee also went yard in the game for her 3^rd HR of the season.  In game 2 Allie Lubben was credited with the win.  She only allowed 3 runs on 7 hits and struck out 5 West Catholic batters.  Unity bats again were hot, totalling 12 hits with Ashley Veldheer, Allie Lubben, Tory Decker, & Julia Bremer all with 2 hits apiece.  Natalie Bush went deep in game 2 to tie the school record in HR’s with 9 on the season.  Unity will next be in action on Friday, May 13, at South Christian.
