JENISON HIGH SCHOOL: 3
UC Varsity Softball split with a strong Jenison Wildcat team on Monday afternoon. In Game 1, Allie Lubben was credited with the win. Natalie Bush drove in 2 run in top of 6th for go ahead runs with her 5th HR on the season. Ashley Veldheer, Julia Bremer, and Molly VerSluis also had hits in Game 1. In game 2, Jenison bats come out hot and UC went down early. However, UC Varsity Softball did not give up and clawed back into the game, however, eventually losing 8-7. Unity had 12 hits in game two led by Kaylee Vander Veen with 3, and Ashley Veldheer & Allie Lubben with 2. Natalie Bush again went deep on the night with another HR, giving her 6 already on the season. Unity will be back in action on Tuesday, April 26, at home against conference rival Holland Christian.
