The boys traveled to Station 300 to battle it out against 15 other teams in a Baker tournament on the 20th of January.  Among those 15 teams were 4 of their regional opponents, and 3 more division 2 opponents that they may face up against in the state finals this year.  After 10 baker games that included a 183, 197, and their 1st 200 (212) of the season, they sat in 6th place after qualifying.  This pitted them against conference and division rival Allendale who finished 11th. They started strong against Allendale rolling a 198 giving them a commanding lead going to the 2nd baker.  The defeated Allendale in the 2nd baker as well and moved on to face Jenison who finished in 3rd and just defeated Ludington.  Unity fell behind by 31 even though they shot a nice 171 game.  This was too much of a lead to overcome and the boys fell to Jenison and finished the tournament tied for 5th place with South Christian, Forest Hills Central, and Zeeland..

Only one regional foe finished ahead of the boys in qualifying so it looks pretty good for them when it comes time for regionals.
