Bowling (Boys V) Post Conference Tournament

By Todd Jeurink | Feb 15, 2026 12:00 PM

At the beginning of the tournament, the boys were in 7th place in the conference with 3 wins on the season. Some of their losses were closer than the score looked and they proved it on Friday. The boys started hots. The first of 3 regular games was led by Owen Gorter with a 192 game. Noah Brinks chipped in with a 171 and the boys shot their 2nd highest score of the season - 798. Their 2nd game was not as good, but Owen Gorter did post another good game. He shot 173. The 3rd game was their best of the day. They shot 822. This became their 2nd highest regular game of season. This game was led by Owen Eppinga with a fine 219 game. Joel Kutzli added and 188 and Noah Brinks had a good 168. The 4 Baker games were nothing special, but they remained ahead of the 8th place team in the conference and put them ahead of the 6th place team. At the end of the tournament I was pleased that we had moved up 1 spot from 7th to 6th in the conference. But there were a few surprises left at the end of the tournament. The all tournament team was announced and Owen Eppinga ended up finishing in 7th place in the tournament. Then the conference standings were announced. The boys ended up finishing tied for 5th in the conference. They ended up finishing 3rd in the tournament and that finish vaulted them into the tie for 5th. I could not have been prouder of my guys.
